3/30/25 - Crowds and Followers
Last week we looked at a shocking statement Jesus made. Son, your sins are forgiven. The Pharisees thought this was blasphemy, for only God can forgive sins. Jesus uses the opportunity to prove just that. That he is God. What is easier for me to tell this man to walk or to say his sins are forgiven, so that you know I have authority to forgive sins, he tells the paralyzed man to get up and walk, to take his mat and go home, and he did proving that not only did Jesus have authority to cause the paralyzed to walk but that he also has authority to forgive sins. Thank God our sins are forgiven. Now this week Jesus again offends the Pharisees, with both his actions and words. This morning we will look closer at the crowds that are coming to him and the many that are following Him as he offends the Pharisees and scribes.
