4/13/25 - Jesus Really Loves Us
Over the past three week we have looked at three different accounts of Jesus shocking the Pharisees, the Pharisees questioning Jesus and Jesus reveals the hardness of the Pharisees heart and teaches his disciples and the crowds the truth.
1. Jesus forgave sins, The man left the house carrying his mat, whole and forgiven, no one had seen anything like this.
2. Jesus called a tax collector to follow him, (Matthew). Gathered at Matthews house with other tax collectors and sinners. Jesus came to call sinners, where does that leave the pharisees.
3. Jesus disciples did not fast while he was with them, It is the betrothal of a marriage that will happen, It is a celebration, what Jesus says to them is I bring something new, I will not be a patch put on your garment, I will not be new wine put in your wineskin, I will not be the king of a kingdom you set up, I am inviting you to come to my kingdom. Not yours. It was ask of me last week so do we fast or not, I want to answer that like this, As God brings you to it, in a time of great trial, pain, repentance, heavy decision, For focus on him, let the Spirit lead you to this.
Today we will look at two more accounts of Jesus life where he shocks the Pharisees, offends the Pharisees while also teaching his disciples.
