We are coming to an end of James teaching on trials. Lets review:

• Not if but when

• Makes us better

• Count them as joy

• We do not fake joy, but know our pain will produce a more Christ like character

• We run to God for wisdom to carry and keep us through the trial

• God gives wisdom to us generously and without rebuke

• We are worthy to come to God whether we feel it or not

• We need to come to God whether we feel like we need to or not

• With every trial will come the temptation to run from God, to trust self more than God, to medicate our feelings with something from the world, to blame God for the pain and to believe God is not good.

• We resist the temptation because we know God is good and gives and gives and gives and never changes.

In a time of trial:

• Be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger
