Last week we learned Mark wrote this account of the Gospel with influence from Peter. He writes it with urgency and moves from one story about Christ to the next with urgency. Mark declares in the opening 11 verses who Jesus is. He does not leave it for us to believe only him, but he has three other witnesses who declare who Jesus is. He will then spend the rest of the book giving evidence that proves he is right.
