As we look at false teachers this morning. What we will see is a false teacher is not someone who disagrees with you about a grey area. Nor is a false teacher, someone who went down a road for a time of believing something wrong and then was pulled back out with truth that was made clear. False teachers will deny the virgin birth, will deny Jesus is God, will deny that Jesus was sinless, will deny his death, will deny his resurrection or will deny his return as the false teachers in Peter’s Day were doing. They will deny that salvation is by grace through faith alone. When we deny any of these, we teach a false gospel.
