The writer begins by teaching us what faith is. Faith is the one Christian word that our culture likes to use. Most people will talk about faith. Faith as a word is widely accepted and talked about. But is it widely accepted and talked about, because we do not all have the same definition of Faith. The writer of Hebrews is going to begin the application portion of Hebrews by defining Faith for us.
