Now the writer continues the teaching about Jesus being a better priest. He teaches them and us that Jesus is not a priest after their Levitical priest hood but a priest after Melchizedek. He doesn’t stop there but says this priesthood is better than their Levitical priesthood. He gives three reasons why it is better and then how the Levitical priesthood came up short.
