We do not know the author of Hebrews. Many people think it was Paul, Barnabas, Apollos, Luke, Phillip, and there is reason to believe it was multiple writers. What we do know, is the author is very educated, not only in the Greek language but also the Old Testament. The author writes this book so we will know how amazing, magnificent, extraordinary, wonderful, and superior Jesus is.

This book is no snack. It will be large bites of steak. It looks deeply to the complexity of the sacrificial system found in the old covenant. He will link the Old Testament and New Testament together. Show how Christ fulfilled it all.

Hebrews is a doctrinal anchor, a clear and detailed understanding of exactly how and why Jesus is better than anything else. This will prevent us from drifting from our faith.
